Search X (Twitter) without an account
X's own search only works when you're logged in, and since 2023 it has shown logged-out visitors much less. Public profiles and plenty of posts are still indexed by Google. Search here to find them by name, handle or keyword.
Know the handle? Open the profile
Public profiles usually open without a login when you go straight to the address.

- Public profiles: name, bio, header image and follower counts.
- Posts that Google has indexed, which tend to be popular or older ones.
- Posts embedded in news articles and blogs.
You can't find
- Protected accounts.
- Full reply threads, in many cases.

- Likes, and who follows who.
How to find someone on X
- Search the person's name in quotes. X profiles show a display name, so this often finds them.
- Search the handle with the @:
@nasa. - Open x.com/handle in a browser. You'll see the profile and some recent posts without logging in.
- For something said during a news event, search a phrase people would have posted, plus the month and year.
Search tips for X
- Old twitter.com addresses are included, so posts from before the rename still turn up.
- Put a phrase in quotes to find a specific post someone remembers.
- News sites quote posts constantly. Switch to All to catch a post that X itself won't show.
X questions
Can you see tweets without an account?
Some. Profiles load in a browser and individual posts usually open from a direct link. X gives logged-out visitors a cut-down view, and its own search needs a login.
Is it X or Twitter?
Same network. Twitter renamed itself X in 2023. BuzzGlobe searches both the old and new addresses.
Why are there fewer X results than for other networks?
X limits what search engines can collect, so fewer of its posts reach Google than posts on Reddit or YouTube.
